Great hospitality and attention to detail. They were accommodating of dietary needs during breakfast. The rooms were tastefully decorated and large. The location was quiet, perfect for relaxing and strolling in the gardens.
Limited dining options in the nearby area, would be best to plan ahead and ask for recommendations.

If you are interested in wine then this is the place for you. It's a tastefully renovated Chateau in the heart of an important wine growing area. A visit to the winery is a must and there is the opportunity to buy a bottle or more from the Chateau itself. The superior room was spacious, and had everything we needed for our 3 day stay, emphasis being on quality. A car or cycles are a must as there is no restaurant nearby.

Excellent standard of the rooms, nice good value breakfast, very accomodating and service minded staff. We will be back.
We were in Medoc to do wine tasting, and the location is a little bit too far away from the main wine route (20 min. to drive to Saint Estephe). There is no restaurant close to the hotel.

This is a lovely and yet undiscovered small hotel in the Bordeaux vineyards. It is a great location for getting away from the crowds and visiting wineries. The manager, Marian, struck the perfect balance of being helpful and friendly while respecting the guest's privacy. It was also a good value. It was a memorable experience and we would definitely stay there again.
The nearby dining options are quite limited. It pays to get recommendations from the manager and plan ahead, especially on weekends.

A very annoying dog in the vacinity that barked pretty much constantly.

This is lovely unspoilt hotel and in the heart of the Bordeaux region . It is a great location for just getting away from all the fast life we live in these days . My wife and I used the hotel for a 3 night stop over while traveling further south in France . I would recommend taking the ferry as it's a hop on and off type , not cheap but cuts down the time to get to the hotel when travel from Calais to the Bordeaux region. Marian (hotel manager) is very helpful and supports you as a guest wanting to learn the region and also letting you be as guest for privacy. She speak 5 languages so will cover most euro regions with ease ;-) . If you want a wine tour then Marian can take you on a tour of the local chateau the hotel is in - Rollan de by. I would recommend this hotel.
Luxury hotel ( in the UK we would call it a luxury B&B ) but only supporting breakfast. Lunch and evening meals you have to use the local restaurants or as we did one night a DIY French picnic by the estuary banks and watching the sun go down. If your expecting this then it's perfect if you want full laid on meals, 3 times a day on site then it's not for you.

The rooms were big and tastefully decorated. The high bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. The hotel is situated next to vineyards and it was quiet. The manager of the hotel, Marion, was excellent. She was very friendly, helpful and efficient. She made us feel welcome.
The hotel was very nice however there wasn't much to do in the area. Restaurants and cafes were practically non-existent. During our stay we found 2 restaurants where we could eat dinner within a 15-30 minute drive, and they were mediocre. Cafes were also hard to find. It could be this time of the year (end of September) when everything closes down and grape harvesting begins.

We recently stayed at a countryside hotel in the Bordeaux region of France. the location was perfect, offering easy access to the Margaux area further south, where we enjoyed some delightful meals at beautiful restaurants on La Gironde. the hotel was also just a 30-minute drive from a stunning beach to the West. Our room was spacious, and the bathroom was huge, complete with all necessary amenities. We were impressed by the excellent service provided by the friendly staff, who gave us great recommendations for local attractions. Breakfast was a highlight, with options such as continental and eggs/ham. the lack of a fitness center was disappointing.

The rooms (including bathrooms) are beautiful and luxurious, the setting is extremely tranquil, as the hotel is surrounded by vineyards. Access to the key chateaux of the Medoc are easily reached by car. Before we arrived, we had decided to stay an extra night and we are glad we did as we sat on the lawns the second afternoon having a little picnic with some local cheese and wine.
With the location being in the countryside, one has to drive 10 to 15 km to find decent restaurants, and we discovered that in August, many establishments (cafes, restaurants, wineries, boucheries, etc) in that part of France close for the month! The hotel offered breakfast at an additional cost to the price quoted. Given the hotel's locale and its style (more like a high end b & b) I think breakfast should have been included in the price. We are pleased we decided to have breakfast there for the 2 days, as there really was no alternative!

The cleanliness of the room was excellent, and the hotel facilities were great. Not obvious to find, but once I arrived, everything was perfect.

The excellent helpful staff and the setting
The lack of a restaurant was a very big drawback as there is nothing else in the very rural locality

The hotel is located in a beautiful and tranquil spot amongst the vineyards, which makes it perfect for anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. the hotel manager was very friendly and provided excellent breakfasts that offered both continental and hot options. the rooms were clean and spacious, and the bathrooms were packed with various amenities, including toothbrushes, which was a nice touch.
Although the hotel was in a prime location for visiting wineries, the nearby dining options were quite limited, which meant that it was important to plan ahead and get recommendations from the manager. during harvest time, it could be a little noisy, which might not be the best fit for light sleepers.
